JD CHESS ACADEMY Established in 1999 by Late Mr. Joseph Dsouza, the Joseph D'souza Chess Academy, has been driving international representation in chess for over the last 20 years. With over 31 years of Chess coaching experience, within the country, as well as overseas, Joseph D'Souza Chess training academy has taught thousands of chess players over the years including a few Grandmasters. As embodied by Mr. D'souza, JD Chess Academy's real strength is grassroots and mid-level coaching, now enabled by the hired experienced training staff. The academy caters to hundreds of chess students every year, while also serving to produce many new arbiters, officials and volunteers. A soft-spoken person with impeccable manners and leadership qualities, Mr. D'Souza, tried to promote the game of chess and his players without compromising on ethics. The chess organization was established to encourage and develop more players who could represent the game within the country as well as at a global level.
