Achievements Joseph D'souza Chess Academy has been driving international representation within the Indian chess fraternity for over the last 20 years, with the likes of Grandmaster Akshayraj Kore, one of the only three GMs from the city, belonging to this chess training centre. Another of Joseph D'souza Chess Academy's students, Akanksha Hagawane, became the World Youth Chess Champion at the U-16 level. Young achievers from this chess performance centre have been consistently competing with talented players at the state, national and international levels.
